Meet The Artist
Juliet De Valter
Welcome to my world of Australian Aboriginal fine oil paintings
I am a proud Kalkatungu (Kalkadoon) woman,
born in Mount Isa, the traditional native land of my tribe and now I currently reside in sunny Townsville, Australia.
For me, art is more than just colours on a canvas; it's a profound connection to my roots, a way to share my stories, and a means of preserving our rich cultural heritage.
The Power of Storytelling
Every brushstroke on the canvas carries a piece of history, a tale, or a connection to my ancestors.
Through my art, I aim to share the spirit of our land, the beauty of our traditions, and the resilience of our people. Each painting is a story waiting to be told, a conversation between the canvas and the viewer.
Bridging Worlds
As a contemporary Indigenous artist, I strive to bridge the gap between the ancient and the modern. To honour the past, while embracing the present and, having hope for the future.
My paintings reflect this delicate balance, capturing the essence of our culture while offering a glimpse into the ever-evolving world of Australian First Nations Art.
Commitment to Authenticity
Every painting you find here is an original creation, a piece of my heart and soul. I work meticulously to ensure that each stroke embodies the spirit and traditions of my people.
When you bring one of my paintings into your home, you're not just acquiring art; you're welcoming a piece of Australian Aboriginal heritage.
All paintings are stamped & signed for authentification, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
