Meet The Artist
Juliet De Valter
Welcome to my world of Australian Aboriginal fine oil paintings
I am Juliet De Valter, a proud Kalkutungu woman.
I was born in Mount Isa, the native land of my tribe and now I currently reside in sunny Townsville, NQ; land of the Wugurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun, Bindal, Gugu Badhun, and Nywaigi peoples.
For me, art is more than just colours on a canvas; it's a profound connection to my roots, a way to share my stories, and a means of preserving our rich cultural heritage.
The Power of Storytelling
Every brushstroke on the canvas carries a piece of history, a tale, or a connection to my ancestors.
Through my art, I aim to share the spirit of our land, the beauty of our traditions, and the resilience of our people. Each painting is a story waiting to be told, a conversation between the canvas and the viewer.

Bridging Worlds
As an Aboriginal artist, I strive to bridge the gap between the ancient and the contemporary, honouring the past while embracing the present.

My fine oil paintings are a reflection of this delicate balance, capturing the essence of our culture while offering a glimpse into the ever-evolving world of Australian Indigenous Art.
